Every gaffer's annoyance; you have a non-Arri head or ballast and need to know if it is compatible with your cables, etc. It's an oddly a difficult thing to find out. The Glenair HMI connector catalog has a chart for HMI pin configurations:

- Lee Mired Calculator
Calculate which correction gel you need to adjust a light from one color temp to another. This page from Lee is a mired calculator. First, you calculate the change in mired value you need. Then you can figure out which gel to use from the mired value of the correction gels. Lee, Rosco, and others, list the mired values of their correction gels.

- Why I Want To Join the Masons or the Oddfellows
The 1930 DeMoulin Brothers & company catalog of supplies for fraternal organizations has an amazing assortment of amusing and bizarre (and probably dangerous) gags, along with a strange obsessions with goats.
Any gag that involves water, electricity, and an explosive charge, had to be a barrel full of fun. Belonging to organizations like the Freemasons or the Oddfellows must have been a lot of fun in the 1930s:
