I recently was listening to Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop. From 1987, it is one of Beck's great albums. Of course, he is dazzling on guitar. Since his sudden death last year, I keeping hearing of more and more great guitar players saying the same thing; he was the greatest they had ever seen.
One of the songs on the album is "A Day In The House". Set in the House of Lords, I don't know if it is based on a true event, or is fictional. Either way it is a powerful, scathing indictment of politicians who don't act about climate change. Our leaders are failing us.
This song is 35 years old and still; to quote the lyrics:

I'm just guessing that if we let climate change get this bad; flooded coastlines will be just one of a multitude of crises challenging our survival on this planet.
PPS: From 2020 by the Jayhawks, a great song written by Gary Louris, lamenting the same sad truth. Our leaders are failing us.
