Have A Little Dream On Me

The great Fats Waller with a cheerful song from the Great Depression, "Have A Little Dream On Me."  May it bring you a little cheer during these hard Covid-19 times:

Have A Little Dream On Me

Fats Waller was an early jazz giant.  He may seem like an obscure artist now, but he was far from that.  By the 1930s, he was hugely popular with many hit songs.  He was an exceptional pianist and prolific talented composer.

There is an artistry to the 3-4 minute song.  Fats Waller was a master of it.

(The technology of recording a disc in the 1930s limited the amount of recording time.  I don't know the exact number.  I guessing no more than 4-5 minutes at the most.)

He would be more widely know today like Duke Ellington if he hadn't passed away so young.  He was only 39 when he died in 1943.
